A French pianist with a vast repertoire of work will perform at Bury Parish Church on Friday.

Patrick Hemmerlé is acclaimed for the originality of his concert programmes and the depth of his interpretations.

His work includes the 24 Chopin Etudes and the 48 Bach Prelude and Fugues, which he often plays in concert.

He has recently showcased his talent in New York, Berlin, Paris, Vienna, Prague, and China, as well as many festivals and music societies in England.

Patrick, who lives in England, has also published five CDs, which have been well received by the international press.

His latest recording project to be issued this year is a pairing of Bach’s Well Tempered Clavier and Fischer’s Ariadne Musica.

His musicological knowledge, and his capacity to clarify complex musical concepts means he is in demand as a lecturer.

And since 2021, he has been the artistic director of Intimate Engagements, a concert series taking place at Clare Hall, Cambridge University.

Patrick will perform at the town centre church in a lunchtime concert at 12.30pm with refreshments on sale from 11.30am.

Tickets will be able to be paid for on the door for £5.
