Bury Croquet Club has announced two family fun days to celebrate its 35th anniversary as the new season gets in full swing.
On Saturday, April 22, over the St George’s Day weekend, the club will be holding its annual fun day in support of Bury Hospice, at Coronation Park in Radcliffe from 11am to 4pm.
Adult tickets are £2, which can be exchanged for tea and coffee.

Community fundraiser at the hospice, Rachel Kraft, said: “Bury Croquet Club members have been loyal supporters of the hospice for many years, and I hope that this will be another fantastic event.
"We look forward to being part of the club’s 35th anniversary celebrations.”
Mayor of Bury, Cllr Shaheena Haroon, has also been invited to attend.

Then on Saturday, May 27, as part of National Croquet Week, another open day will be held at Whitehead Park from 11am to 4pm, when the club celebrates its anniversary again.
Admission will be free with an optional charitable donation in support of the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Head of community fundraising at the Motor Neurone Disease Association, Denise Davies, said: “Without our amazing supporters, the MND Association simply would not be able to provide its vital support services, fund research to find a cure and campaign and raise awareness of MND.
“Together we are making a real difference for people affected by this devastating disease.”
