Drivers in and around Bury will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for in the next two weeks.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure is already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• A56, from 8pm on February 17 to 6am on July 1, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: A56 northbound and southbound, M66, junction 1 to Bent Gate - carriageway closure for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal.
A further five closures will begin over the next seven days:
• M66, from 8pm on Thursday, April 13 to 6am on Saturday, April 15, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M66 northbound and southbound at junction one - three lane closures and slip road closures due to inspections.
• M60, from 12.30am to 6am on Saturday, April 15, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M60 clockwise at junction 16 to 17 lane closure and slip road closure for electrical repairs.
• M60, from 9pm on Saturday, April 15 to 5am on Sunday, April 16, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M62 westbound, junction 19 to junction 18 - lane closure for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal.
• M60, from 11.59pm on Saturday, April 22 to 5am on Sunday, April 23, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M60 clockwise, junction 16 to junction 18 - carriageway closure for horticulture.
• M66, from 9pm on Monday, April 24 to 5am on Wednesday, April 26, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M66 northbound, junction 3 to junction 1 - lane closure for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
