A historic train service in the heart of Bury is hosting adventure days with wizards, dinosaurs and Peter Rabbit for the half-term Easter break.
The East Lancashire Railway will be running Easter half-term adventure days over the next two weeks for children and families to take part in.
On April 9 and 10, Peter Rabbit will be visiting the Bury Transport Museum at intervals throughout the day with theme park rides, face painters and craft activities also taking place.
Tickets for the Peter Rabbit fun day are £16 for an Adult, £15 for a child and are free for those under the age of two.
Tickets should be bought online and will include a ride on any of the train services on the day.
A Wizarding Adventure will take place on April 6 and 13 for children to learn how to become a ‘master of mystery and magic’ during an interactive whistle-stop tour of the Wizard Academy.

Attendees will take lessons in the basics of broomsticks, practice potion making, be instructed in incantations and learn to tattle and talk with a tawny owl.
The ticket is ideal for those aged between 5 and 12 years old and is priced between £20.00 and £15.50.
This includes a one-return trip from Bury to Rawtenstall hauled by a steam train an approximately two-hour wizarding experience, photo opportunities and a trip to Bury Transport Museum.

Finally, the Dino Adventure will be taking place on April 7 with a two-hour adventure, dinosaur-themed activities and a round trip on a heritage steam train with plenty of photo opportunities.

Attendees will work towards their ‘dino diploma’ on a time travelling steam train and join intrepid explorers on a Jurassic adventure, getting up close and personal with baby dinosaurs.
Tickets will be priced between £20.00 and £15.50.
