Fernhill Mill, Bury, 1966
We have to be honest, we’re not quite sure what’s going on here. but it looks as though there was a new addition to the Fernhill Mill operation on Hornby Street in Bury with the delivery of a new loom.
This photo was taken in March 1966 and you get an indication of just how big the looms were. Imagine the noise generated by a whole floor full of these beasts.
