A pedestrian was hit by a HGV in Whitefield this afternoon, Wednesday.
Police were sent to Radcliffe New Road at around 1.30pm following the collision.
It has not been reported what condition the pedestrian is in following the incident or if the person involved was a man or woman.
Radcliffe New Road is closed in both directions between Bury New Road and Dales Lane while police investigations take place.
Enquiries are ongoing, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) has said.
No arrests have been reported.

Earlier on Wednesday, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service confirmed its crews were in attendance.
A spokesperson said: “At around 1.30pm this afternoon (Wednesday), two fire engines from Whitefield and Broughton fire station along with the Technical Response Unit from Leigh were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Radcliffe New Road, Whitefield.
“Crews arrived quickly at scene, where Greater Manchester Police are managing the incident.”
