Women gathered at the weekend to share a message of empowerment at a Bury park event.
An afternoon tea was held at Bury Croquet Club in Whitehead Park on Sunday in honour of International Women's Day, which officially lands tomorrow, Wednesday, March 8.
Sharing stories of inspiration, equity and empowerment, women, councillors and speakers attended the event to "celebrate women's achievements".
Samia Farid, from the women-run charity Supporting Sisters, spoke about how women can work together and make a difference.
She said: “As women, we face many challenges and barriers, by actively supporting and embracing equity, challenging gender stereotypes and calling out discrimination, together we can make a difference.”
Several other speakers gave their own personal stories, including Cllr Jo Lancaster, who described how she became a Radcliffe representative and deputy leader of her group.

Cllr Arif said: “I’m delighted to be part of this amazing event in my Ward which celebrates the success of women and empowers women in our society”.
