A massive Wigan-based band will play an intimate gig in Bury as part of an upcoming record store tour.

Indie rock band the The Lathums will play in Derby Hall at The Met in May in partnership record store Wax and Beans.

The Wigan four-piece announced a series of live shows ahead of the release of their new album, From Nothing to a Little Bit More, which is set for release tomorrow, Friday.

The band’s debut album, How Beautiful Life Can Be, hit number one in the UK charts upon its release two years ago. 

The band are set to play a sold out show at Manchester’s Albert Hall next week and have recently announced a gig at Castlefield Bowl in June.  

Fans of the band can purchase a bundle ticket to their gig at The Met, including a copy of the new album, from Wax and Bean’s website.

Tickets are already selling fast, with more than 250 tickets sold in one morning. The Bury date is one of 13 shows taking place across the country in May.

The band expressed their excitement for the tour on social media, writing: “Wow.. even more shows this May. The Lathums never stop, the show will never stop!”

Wax and Beans co-owner Ben Soothill said the gig was a great thing for Bury.

“They’ve decided to support local record stores,” he added.
