Police are hunting for two men after two teenage boys were robbed at knifepoint in Bury town centre. 

The robbery happened on Angouleme Way at around 9pm on Monday, February 6 near to the Go Outdoors car park.

Police say no serious injuries were suffered at the time but clothing and electronic devices were taken before the robbers headed towards the tram stop, believed to be travelling into Manchester city centre’s Market Street.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) is now looking to identify and speak to two men who they believe have vital information that can help with the investigation and have released pictures of them.

PC Rick Flynn of GMP’s Bury district said: “This was an understandably a traumatic incident for the victims and after conducting and following a number of lines of enquiry, we are now in a position to appeal to the local public for any additional information.

“GMP is taking a tough stance to knife crime in Greater Manchester and this incident is no different, although we believe it is isolated. We are continuing to support the victims and since the incident, regular patrol plans have been in place to provide visible reassurance to the community.”
