A Radcliffe day nursery where children are "happy" and "confident" is celebrating success after making major improvements.
Mary Kelly’s Rascals Day Nursery received an overall rating of good following an inspection by education watchdog Ofsted, which found that the nursery had enhanced the overall quality of its service.
The Ainsworth Road nursery was previously given an overall rating of requires improvement in April last year after inspectors found it did not always "effectively meet the needs of children".
But following its latest inspection, which took place in January, Ofsted inspectors found "leaders have taken effective steps to address the areas for improvement raised at the previous inspection".
All areas of the nursery are now rated good.

Inspectors said that children’s language skills are effectively assessed and that they "delight" in taking part in activities.
The report, published in February, said: “Children are happy and confident in this welcoming nursery.
"They love to have a go and get involved in all learning opportunities.
“Children delight in taking part in activities that stimulate their senses as they feel different textures of paint, soil and cereals.”
“Older children learn about mathematical concepts, such as weight and measure.
"They use language such as 'heavier' and 'lighter' and compare different weights as they balance objects on the scales.”
Inspectors found that communication between parents and staff was good, with parents and carers receiving lots of information about children’s progression and development.

The report said: “They value this communication and are very happy with the progress their children make, particularly in their communication skills, independence and emotional maturity.
“Staff across the nursery deliver a progressive and well-sequenced curriculum that builds on what children already know.
"Clear next steps are identified, and ideas are shared with parents to extend learning to home.
"As a result, all children make progress from their unique starting point.”
