There has been an increase in the off-road bikes causing a nuisance in the Whitefield and Prestwich areas, police have said.
Over the past few weeks, a quantity of such bikes have been seized and taken off the streets.

Officers have moved to assure people that they are working to make the area a safer place.

On social media, a spokesperson for Bury South Police said: “We’ve received an increase in reports of off-road bikes causing a nuisance in the Prestwich/Whitefield area in recent weeks.
“A number of these bikes have been seized and taken off the streets.
“It’s important to continue reporting these incidents to ensure that our community feels safe, let’s work together to make our area a safer place for everyone.
“If you have any information on who is riding the bikes or where the bikes are being stored, please report anonymously via CrimeStoppers online or telephone 0800 555 111."
