Firefighters were called to a property in Unsworth yesterday afternoon following a house fire.

Crews from Bury Central, Whitefield and Broughton were called to the scene on Randale Drive just after 4pm yesterday afternoon, Friday.

The road was closed while firefighters tackled the blaze and crews were in attendance foraround two hours.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “Just after 4pm yesterday (Friday 10th February), three fire engines from Bury Central, Whitefield and Broughton fire station along with an Arial Appliance from Manchester Central were called to reports of a building fire involving a property on Randale Drive, Bury.”

“Crews arrived quickly at scene. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatuses used two hose reels to extinguish the fire .”

“Firefighters were in attendance for around two hours.”
