A Tottington couple received a royal congratulations after celebrating a milestone anniversary last month.
Maureen and Allan Burgess reached their Diamond wedding anniversary on January, 12 and believe they could be one of the first couples in Bury to receive congratulations from King Charles and Camilla, the Queen Consort.
The couple found the card in celebration of their 60th anniversary on their doormat after returning home from a cruise to mark the special day.
The card, which Maureen has framed and displayed pride of place in the couple’s home, contains a photo of the King and Queen Consort and message offering their congratulations.
