Bury's motorists will have 14 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network in the next two weeks.
10 of them are expected to cause moderate delays with drivers facing holdups of between 10 and 30 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that seven closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• M60, from 9pm on October 24, 2022, to 6am on February 11, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise, junction 17 to junction 18 - lane closure for inspection/survey.
• A56, from 8pm on February 3 to 7am on Saturday, February 11, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: A56 northbound, M66 junction 1 to Bent Gate - carriageway closure for carriageway reconstruction/renewal.
• M66, from 8pm on January 18 to 6am on Saturday, February 18, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M66 northbound, junction 1 - lane closure for inspection/survey.
• M66, from 8pm on January 24 to 6am on Saturday, February 18, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M66 southbound, junction 1 - lane closure for inspection/survey.
• M66, from 8pm on February 1 to 6am on Saturday, February 25, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M66 southbound, junction 1 to junction 2 - lane closure for inspection/survey.
• M60, from 8pm on Monday, February 6 to 6am February 14, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M60 anti-clockwise junction 20 - carriageway closure for inspection/survey.
• M60, from 9pm on Monday, February 6 to 6am on Monday, February 13, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M60 clockwise junction 16 - M62 eastbound, junction 19 - M62 westbound, junction 19 - M60 anticlockwise junction 17 - M60 anticlockwise - M66 northbound, junction 3 - M66 southbound, junction 3 - M60 anticlockwise junction 19 lane closures and slip road closures and carriageway closures due to survey works.
A further seven closures will begin over the next seven days:
• M60, from 9pm on Friday, February 10 to 5am on Monday, February 13, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M62 eastbound, junction 18 - 20 Lane closures and closure of slips due to general maintenance works.
• M60, from 8pm on Sunday, February 12 to 5am on Monday, February 13, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M60 clockwise junction 17 - 18 lane closures due to maintenance works.
• M60, from 8pm on Sunday, February 12 to 5am on Monday, February 13, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M66 southbound, junction 2 to 4 lane closure and carriageway closures due to barriers.
• M60, from 8pm on Monday, February 13 to 7am on Saturday, February 18, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M60 clockwise, junction 16 - carriageway closure for carriageway reconstruction/renewal.
• M60, from 9pm on Monday, February 13 to 6am on Monday, February 20, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M60 clockwise junction 16 - M62 eastbound, junction 19 - M62 westbound, junction 19 - M60 anticlockwise junction 17 - M60 anticlockwise - M66 northbound, junction 3 - M66 southbound, junction 3 - M60 anticlockwise junction 19 lane closures and slip road closures and carriageway closures due to survey works.
• A56, from 8pm on Friday, February 17 to 6am on July 1, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: A56 northbound and southbound, M66, junction 1 to Bent Gate - carriageway closure for carriageway reconstruction/renewal.
• M60, from 9pm on Monday, February 20 to 6am on Monday, February 27, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M60 clockwise junction 16 - M62 eastbound, junction 19 - M62 westbound, junction 19 - M60 anticlockwise junction 17 - M60 anticlockwise - M66 northbound, junction 3 - M66 southbound, junction 3 - M60 anticlockwise junction 19 lane closures and slip road closures and carriageway closures due to survey works.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
