An award-winning Prestwich author will be meeting fans at Manchester’s biggest bookshop this weekend.
Cynthia Murphy, author of Last One to Die, Win Lose Kill Die, and The Midnight Game will be meeting readers at the Manchester Deansgate Waterstones on Saturday, January 28.
Cynthia, who has been visiting the Manchester bookshop since she was young, said she can't wait for the weekend and to make more happy memories there.
She said: “I’ve been going in since I was a child, as my dad worked nearby so to have my Northern launch party there feels very special.
“It was the first place I saw and signed copies of my debut novel after the pandemic too, so I have a lot of lovely memories there.”

The Former St Monica's High School pupil will be doing a question and answer session alongside two other young adult authors, Naomi Gibson and Melissa Welliver.
There will be time for audience questions and book signings, followed by some cake and a glass of wine, which is included in the ticket price.
Murphy will be celebrating the release of her brand new young adult thriller, The Midnight Game.

Cynthia said some of the most popular questions she has been asked include where she gets her inspiration from and who her favourite books and authors are.
She said: “Oh, I love it. Meeting readers is so special and I love chatting with them.
“I am very fortunate to be super busy at the moment.

“I’m working on three different projects, two of which will be out this year, and I have some exciting events booked in, including an appearance at Lancashire Lit Fest.
“I’ve just completed edits for my US version of Win Lose Kill Die, which is out on December 5th. I’ve also been offered some exciting new opportunities that I can’t discuss yet!”

The Northern launch party will take place at the Deansgate Waterstones from 6pm and tickets cost £7 per person.
