A 21-year-old man has been taken to hospital with “serious” injuries after a stabbing in Prestwich.

Police were sent to the the Heys Road area of Prestwich at around 2pm, yesterday, Wednesday.

Although the victim suffered “serious” injuries, they are not thought to be life-threatening.

He is now receiving medical treatment while he remains in hospital.

Police have not made any arrests, and they are urging anyone with any information to come forward.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “At around 2pm on Wednesday, officers were called to reports of a stabbing in the Heys Road area, Preswich.

“Officers attended the scene, and a 21-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries. 

“He remains in hospital receiving medical treatment.

“No arrests have been made at this time.”
