A teenager has been arrested after a series of robberies in Bury over the New Year period.
The robberies happened in the town between Thursday, December 29 and Monday, January 2.
After an investigation by police, a 17-year-old boy was arrested on Friday on suspicion of three counts of robbery, one count of attempted robbery, two counts of possession of a bladed article and a public order offence.
He appeared in court on Saturday was remanded into custody, police said.
On social media, a Greater Manchester Police (GMP) spokesperson said: “We are pleased to confirm that a 17-year-old male was charged on Friday night with three counts of robbery, one count of attempt robbery, two counts of possession of a bladed article and a section 4 public order offence.
“He appeared at Manchester Magistrates on Saturday, January 7 and has been remanded into custody by the court.
“We would like to thank all the victims and witnesses who came forward and supported this investigation.
“GMP are committed to delivering outstanding service to all victims of crime and Bury’s neighbourhood crime team will tenaciously pursue every line of enquiry to secure a positive outcome.”
