Half of the top 10 most expensive streets in the North West are in Altrincham and its surroundings.
Data released by Halifax UK puts Broadway, Hale, in first with an average property price of £3,184,000 based on transactions in the last five years.
It is followed by Barrow Lane, Hale Barns, which was on top of the list last year but is now in second with an average property price of £2,998,000.
The other streets into the top five are Underwood Road, Alderley Edge; Summerhill Road, Macclesfield; and Whitebarn Road, Alderley Edge.
The rest of the top 10 contains Theobald Road, Bowdon; Hill Top, Hale; and Stanhope Road, Bowdon, as well as more streets in Macclesfield.
Although the average property price on these streets is eye-watering, it is nothing in comparison to the most expensive streets in the UK, all of which are in the capital.
The average on Phillimore Gardens, Kensington, is almost £24 million, which is around 80 times the average property price nationwide.
On Grosvenor Square, Mayfair, and Ilchester Place, Kensington, buyers are looking at an average of almost £24 million and £18 million respectively.
Kim Kinnaird, mortgages director at Halifax UK, said: “For almost all of us, these homes and their eye-watering price tags are the stuff fantasy house hunts are made of.
“Unsurprisingly, London roads occupy the top 10 streets in the UK, and buying a home on London's Phillimore Gardens could set you back a staggering £24 million on average.
"That said, the price of a prestigious address can differ hugely across the UK.
"Living on the most expensive street in the North East or East Midlands will cost something closer to £1.5 million.”
