Bury was transformed into a winter wonderland this weekend as snow fell across the borough amid freezing temperatures.
The promise of frosty weather was fulfilled yesterday, Saturday, after the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning last week.
The warning came alongside predictions that temperatures would drop below freezing.
In Bury, The Met Office expects the chilly weather to continue into next week with forecasts predicting lows of -4°C.
Met Office Chief Meteorologist, Steve Willington, said: “It is staying cold with daytime temperatures remaining only a few degrees above freezing in many places over the coming days and overnight temperatures dropping to -10°C or lower in isolated spots.
"Although below average, these temperatures are not that unusual for this time of year."

Anyone travelling should expect icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths as well as slower journey times.
Anyone out and about should be careful to avoid injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces.

The airport announced this morning that it would be operating as normal but that some journeys could still be affected by the cold weather.
Bury Council deployed its gritting teams on Friday with main roads across the six townships being made safer for motorists.
Pedestrian pathways are also made safer with grit, with priority given to pathways towards elderly persons homes, schools and public buildings.
Across the rest of the week, the weather in Bury is set to stay cloudy with some fog and sunny intervals.
