Greenmount Cricket Club has opened its new Lounge Bar after 10 weeks of renovation works.
Aiming to make the area more inclusive, the cricket club have been making changes to accommodate their visitors and club members alike.
With a £46,650 grant from the Valencia Communities Fund, the club has increased its seating capacity, refurbished its lounge and installed new and accessible toilets.
And now around 50 meters of extra decking area is also being added for outdoor summer seating, which will be completed in 2023.
A spokesperson from the board at Greenmount Cricket Club said: “As a hub for the local community, and due to increased footfall, we wanted to make the club more accessible, and inclusive.
Over the last 10 weeks, we have been extending and renovating the Lounge Bar, to increase the seating capacity and also build new gents and accessible toilets.
“We have been assisted by the Valencia Communities Fund, who provided a grant of £46650 to help with the project and appreciate their support.
