Woodfields Tesco is looking for volunteers, schools and donations for their National Food Collection drive next week, from December 1 to December 3.
The store's community champion, Wendy Howarth, said:" “This is probably going to be the most important food drive we have ever done due to the cost of living crisis.

Schools currently collecting include Hazel Wood High School, Tottington High School, Woodbank Primary School, St Joseph’s and St Bede's and St Stephen’s primary school.
Donations go to: The Attic Project, Trinty Foodbank, Brandlesholme Community Centre and Food/baby bank, Topping Fold Foodbank and Organic Soul Food Bank.
