Drivers in and around Bury will have seven National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
And four of them are expected to cause moderate delays, with motorists facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• A56, from 9pm to 6am on December 23, there will be moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: A56 northbound and southbound, M66 j1 to Bent Gate - carriageway closure for carriageway - Reconstruction/Renewal.
• M60, from 9pm to 6am until February 11 2023, slight delays, under 10 minutes: M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise, junction 17 to junction 18 - Lane closure for inspection/survey.
And a further five closures will begin over the next seven days:
• M66, from 8.30pm on November 29 to 5am on November 30, slight delays, under 10 minutes: M66 southbound, junction 2 - lane closure for drainage.
• M60, from 8pm on December 2 to 6am on December 3, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise J16 to J18 - Lane closure for inspection/survey.
• M60, from 9pm on December 5 to 6am on December 9, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M66 northbound and southbound, junction 3 to 4 - lane closure and slip road closures for drainage.
• A56, from 8pm on December 11 to 5am on December 19, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M66 southbound, jct 0 to 1 lane closure for structures.
• A56, from 9pm on December 12 to 5am on December 15, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M66 northbound and southbound, junction 0 - two lane closure carriageway closure due to maintenance works.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
