A commuter has taken to social media in a desperate attempt to get a 'man with the brown scarf' who she sees on the tram journey every day to ask her out.
In a scene which could be straight out of a rom-com, the unnamed 'girl' posted her plea on community Facebook page Original Prestwich People in the hope the man would talk to her and even meet in a popular local haunt.
Apparently the man she has set her sights on helped her when she dropped her files.
In the post she writes: "The guy wearing the brown scarf on the daily commute Prestwich to Manchester St Peter’s Square tram.
"Every day we get on and off the tram together and every day I wish you’d ask me out.
"I’m the girl who dropped her files last week and you helped me pick them up. Talk to me!"
She ended saying she would be All the Shapes that evening if he wanted to talk.
The unfolding romantic story has got villagers hooked!

One posted: "In all seriousness, you could just talk to him rather than waiting for him. He’s a bloke, and we find it hard to take hints."
And another stated: "This is very cute. We need an update."
