A former Bury Grammar School student will show his showcase his musical prowess at Bury Parish Church on Friday.
Tenor Jay Broadhurst will perform at 12.30pm with a programme of Lieder and Italian songs and will be accompanied on the piano by Marc Murray, the church's director of music.
Currently in his third year at the Royal Northern College of Music, Jay has had an adoration for music from an early age.
Beginning on the violin in his youth, he soon found his love for singing in his mid-teens.
He is also a proficient speaker of German and therefore a passionate student of Lieder, an art form which he has immersed himself in totally over his development under esteemed Bass-Baritone, Matthew Best.
Jay’s ambition is to perform in Germany and hopes to enlighten his audience through his clear passion for his art.
Tickets are priced at £5 on the door and refreshments will be on sale in the church from 11.30am.
