Drivers in and around Bury will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
And three of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• A56, from 9pm on October 17 to 6am on December 23, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A56 northbound and southbound, M66 junction 1 to Bent Gate - carriageway closure for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal.
• M60, from 9pm on October 24 to 6am on February 11, 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise, junction 17 to junction 18 - lane closure for inspection/survey.
A further four closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• M60, from 8.30pm today, Tuesday, November 22, to 5am on Wednesday, November 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 both directions, junction 18 to junction 20 - lane closure for barriers.
• A56, from 8pm on Thursday, November 24 to 5am on Friday, November 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A56 northbound, junction 1 to Bent Gate - lane closure for inspection/survey.
• M60, from 8pm on Friday, December 2 to 6am on Saturday, December 3, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise junction 16 to junction 18 - lane closure for inspection/survey.
• M60, from 9pm on Monday, December 5 to 6am on Friday, December 9, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 northbound and southbound, junction 3 to 4 - lane closure and slip road closures for drainage.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
