When will footy be back at Gigg Lane? Part two.
Nine weeks ago, the question was asked in this paper. No answers were received from any of the interested parties, they didn’t know. But a glimmer of light appeared shortly afterwards when a vote was announced on the merging of the two groups who possibly hold the answer.
We have the result of the vote which still leaves the question unanswered whilst the defeated option, which would have seen NW Counties Premier Division football, or higher, being played next season at Gigg Lane, was rejected.
The result is baffling and the proponents of the anti-merger group must now produce their answer to the question.
Many totally unaligned supporters, who didn’t have a vote, just want to see football of the highest possible standard return to Gigg Lane as soon as possible.
