A popular food outlet will serve its last meals at Greenmount Cricket Club this week.
Danny's at the Log Cabin, which has been based at the Brandlesholme Road venue since last year, will be open for its final days this weekend on November 11, 12 and 13.
Having become a much-loved part of the furniture, serving breakfast, soups, and sandwiches to customers, the club expressed its disappointment in an initial social media post but has also thanked caterer Danny Hornby for his hard work over the last 18 months.
The club are now looking to introduce a new catering option.
A Greenmount Cricket Club spokesperson said: “Danny’s at the Log Cabin was an experimental joint venture to bring food to our members to supplement their social experience.
“Although this was broadly well received by members and visitors alike, Danny has chosen to cease trading and has secured alternative employment.
"Meanwhile, the club is reviewing alternative options with several interested parties “
