Another record-breaking night has taken place as even more brave men across the borough open up about their mental health.
Andys Man Club in Bury has seen yet another record-breaking turnout as eight news faces and dozens of men walked through their doors on Monday, November 7 at Bury Sports Club.
Having opened its doors back in March, the club’s popularity has rapidly grown with a record 45 men attending on October 21, rising to 64 attendees in their session this week.
Lead facilitator for the charity in Bury, Luke Tetlow-Cross, said: “I am lost for words with the amount of people coming to our venue.
“When we set this up back in March I had no idea the amount of support within the bury community for our talking group and to see it month on month grow is stunning.

“I think all the credit needs to go to our amazing facilitator team, the guys who attended and most importantly the bury community who are sharing our social posts and letting others know that it’s okay to talk.”
With numbers rapidly growing, there has been some concern from potential attendees that having so many men listening may be off-putting to new members.
In response, the club said that a team of facilitators can help by splitting into smaller groups.
One man involved in the charity added: “A few of us stand outside and will walk you in, talk you through the way the evening will work, and get you a brew and a biscuit.
“If you want to attend and just listen, that's fine, there is no pressure to speak. Please don't be worried about attending as we'll make things really easy for you.”
As well as turning up on the night, people can ask for more information about the group on its Facebook page.
