Wildlife lovers are being invited to a talk in Greenmount to show how gardens can be made into the perfect habitat for little creatures.
Among factors like pollution, habitat loss for wildlife can prove detrimental, which is one of the reasons why the Tottington Horticultural and District Society want to make gardens wildlife friendly.
The group's talk, "Attracting Wildlife to your Garden", will be held by George Pilkington on Wednesday, November 9, at Greenmount Old School on Brandlesholme Road.

Dorothy Heaton, secretary for Tottington and District Horticultural Society, said: “This will be a very interesting talk and we will learn how to provide support and shelter for wildlife even in a small garden which is important when many habitats are being lost.”

For those who do not have gardens window boxes can also be of some use.
The event will begin at 8pm with tickets available at the door for £2 per person.
Tea, biscuits and a free raffle ticket will be included in the price.
