There are still plenty of firework displays taking place across Bury despite the popular Heaton Park display being cancelled.

Manchester Council's escalating costs and budgets were factors in the decision.

The news was met with varied reactions from residents however, there are still a number of other displays taking place in Bury.  

Early bonfire celebrations will begin at  Radcliffe Cricket Club, on October, 29, which celebrates both bonfire night and Halloween in one.

There will be a fairground, bar, food, stalls and a DJ with fireworks from Alton Tower Firework Display team.

Children are encouraged to dress up and the event wil be on from 6:00pm until 11.59pm.

Admission is £8 for adults, £2 for children or £18 for family tickets.

Bury FC, Gigg Lane – Friday, November 4, 5pm with a display at 8pm

Hewlett Court – Friday, November 4, 6pm until 8pm

Ramsbottom Cricket Club – Saturday, November 5, 4pm until 11.59pm

Woodbank Cricket Club -  Saturday, November 5, 5.30pm until 11.59pm

Greenmount Scout Group, Cannon Lewis Hall Saturday, November 5, 6.30pm until 9pm

East Lancs Papermill Cricket Club Saturday, November 5, 6.30pm until 11.59pm

Sedgley Tigers RC, Sedgley Park – (SOLD OUT) Saturday, November 5, 7pm until 11.59pm

Elton All Saints Cricket Club  - Sunday, November 6, 4pm until 11pm
