Two Coronation Street stars will take a break from the day job to give their verdicts on Bury Hospice's Strictly-inspired show.
Sally Carman-Duttine and Joe Duttine, who play Abi Franklin and Tim Metcalfe, respectively, in the popular ITV soap, will star as the judges again for the hospice competition finale at the end of November.
The competition will feature 16 couples who have committed to raising £500 for the hospice as they undergo a 12-week programme of dance lessons at LARK Dance Studio in Radcliffe, with dancers who give their time for free.
A total of £1,000 has already been raised by the hospice's Strictly Catwalk event, which took place on Friday, October 7.
A spokesperson for Bury Hospice said: “This year’s grand finale, will take place at Swinton Masonic Hall over two nights on Friday, November 25 and Saturday, November 26.
“Bury Hospice is delighted that Sally and Joe will be on their judging panel again for this year’s grand finale.
“To support this year’s Strictly fundraiser, a Strictly Fashion Show was held at The Stables Country Club on Friday (October 7).”
Strictly Best Foot Forward is the biggest event in the hospice’s fundraising calendar and the Strictly Catwalk Fundraiser saw the team "put their best foot forward" and model a glamorous collection by the event sponsor, Claire Robinson at Chic Happens.
The event was "strictly fabulous" and raised more than £1,000 on the night for the hospice.
The participants in this year's event included Joan Halse from Dance Events North West and Jessica Wood, lead teacher for Strictly Best Foot Forward and principal ballroom and Latin teacher at LARK Dance, Drama & Gymnastics.
Alison Park, owner of Dance Events North West and judge from Strictly Best Foot Forward, also got involved as well as Natalie Rodgers, a past Strictly Best Foot Forward contestant who now assists with the event.
Vivien Pascoe, co-organiser of Strictly Best Foot Forward and a huge supporter of Bury Hospice participated alongside Karen Mosley, a dance teacher at MK Dance Bury who has been with the team for five years on Strictly Best Foot Forward.
Donna Oliver, a Zumba teacher and passionate Argentine Tango teacher who has been with Strictly Best Foot Forward for five years joined Maisy Leader-Entwistle, an 18-year-old dancer who is helping for the second year.
Gareth Monger and Chris Allen also took part as male models.
There will also be an afternoon tea dance and contestant showcase on Saturday, November 26.
Tickets are available from the fundraising office at 0161 797 1748.
The event is led by hospice trustee and fundraising volunteer, Deborah Lisle, and donations are welcome on their JustGiving page here.
