Drivers in and around Bury will have seven National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And five of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that seven closures have started or are due to start this week:

• M60, from 9pm last night, Monday October 10 to 5am on Saturday, October 15, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise, junction 18 to 20 - carriageway closure for structure - maintenance.

• M60, from 9pm on October 17 to 7am on October 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 northbound, junction 4 - three lane closures and carriageway closures due to barrier scheme.

• A56, from 9pm on October 17 to 5am on October 22, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A56 southbound, Bentgate to M66 - lane two closure for barrier repair.

• A56, from 9pm on October 17 to 6am on December 23, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A56 northbound and southbound, M66 j1 to Bent Gate - carriageway closure for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal.

• M60, from 9pm on October 19 to 6am on October 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 southbound, junction 2 - four lane closures and carriageway closures due to barrier scheme.

• M60, from 9pm on October 21 to 6am on October 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise J17 to J18 - carriageway closure for white lining/road markings on behalf of Amey.

• M60, from 9pm on October 24 to 6am on February 11, 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise, junction 17 to junction 18 - lane closure for inspection/survey.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
