A suspected drunk driver has been arrested after police reported the driver had no insurance and no licence.
An arrest was made this morning after a reportedly drunk, unlicensed and uninsured driver was stopped by police.
The car is said to have been spotted moving at speed on Rochdale Road in the early hours of this morning (Saturday, October 1).
A Roads Policing Unit stopped the driver before they made an arrest.
The driver was found to be uninsured with no licence and officers suspected them of drink driving.
Police say that the driver was then arrested for all three offences.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “This vehicle was seen at speed on Rochdale Rd in the early hours of this morning by #RPU officers.
“When stopped, the driver was found to be unlicensed and uninsured, and over the drink drive limit. #Arrested and since charged with all offences. #fatal4”
