Police, residents and councillors are due to attend a public meeting to voice their concerns about an incident involving a hand grenade.
On Thursday, September 29, police received were called after a hand grenade, was found on Randale Drive, Bury.
Following the incident a meeting will be held at 2pm today for resident to voice their concerns.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson for Bury South said: "We will be holding a meeting at the Sir Robert Peel public house in Bury at 2pm today (Saturday 1 October) to give residents the opportunity to ask about any concerns they have about this incident.
"Our partner agencies from the council will also be attending.
"We would like to thank the local residents for their ongoing support and assistance in our investigations and assure the community that we understand this incident has caused concern in the local area. We would like to reassure the public that we have increased police presence in the area whilst our investigation progresses.
