Bury residents who are worried about rising energy costs this winter can receive professional and personal help from a free workshop tomorrow, Wednesday.
The council are holding a free ‘walk-in’ session for those worried about their bills to talk to industry professionals.
The ‘Energising You and Your Finances’ event is being held by the local authority and organisation Ingeus for residents and customers to seek help.
Anyone attending is asked to bring copies of their recent bills and bank statements to get practical advice on ways to save money.
Alongside Ingeus, Six Town Housing, Citizen’s Advice, United Utilities, Electricity Northwest, U Switch and other partners will be there.
The event will be taking place in The Peel Room at The Elizabethan Suite, Bury Town Hall, from 2pm until 6pm on Wednesday, September 7.
A council spokesperson said: “Increasing energy prices are a major concern for everyone.
“That’s why Bury Council has teamed up with Ingeus to deliver an Energising You and Your Finances event.
“This free walk-in event is open to Ingeus customers and Bury residents.
“Come along and talk to industry professionals about your finances.
“Bring along copies of recent bills and bank statements and get practical advice on ways you can save money.”
