A student from Prestwich drama school Footlights has bagged a lead role at The Octagon Theatre in Bolton.
Bea Glancy, 15, will star as Liesel in ‘The Book Thief’, centred around an orphan growing up in Second World War Germany.
Rehearsals have begun for the show, which will take place from September 17 to October 15.
Bea's teacher Jennifer Hulman, said: “Bea is one of the kids that just has that star power.
"She has an incredible career ahead of her, and we are all so incredibly proud of her.”
At Footlights, Bea studies musical theatre, an essential skill needed for her role in ‘The Book Thief’ where she will have to sing, dance and act.
The triple threat performer has been praised by the school after her recent performance at The Lowry and for her appearance in the HBO series, Game of Thrones.
Founder and managing director of Footlights Jo Fisher added: “She really deserves it.
"She’s always been a wonderful student and a lovely person.
“Rehearsals for the show are already underway, and Bea is loving every minute of it.
"She’s excited to perform at a theatre that has an incredible history.”
