In an unexpected turn of events, cinemas across the UK have begun banning young people from wearing suits to screenings of Minions: The Rise of Gru.

The unusual rule has come into place after a bizarre TikTok trend came into fruition where teens dress up and take bananas into the cinema to watch the new release.

Unfortunately, the rowdy behaviour of some has caused cinemas across the UK to ban the #gentleminions trend after disturbing others by raving and throwing things during screenings.
Luckily, for those in Bury, Vue Cinemas at The Rock has not yet banned the trend, instead, they have asked guests to be respectful so everyone can enjoy the film.

Thanks for getting in touch.
Guests can wear suits if they wish but we do ask everyone to be respectful to one another so that all who are watching the film can enjoy the Big Screen Experience.
Thanks,
Mike
While cinemas have had trouble with some teens taking part, Universal pictures have endorsed the comical attire by tweeting:
to everyone showing up to @Minions in suits: we see you and we love you. 🫶
