One year of studying at Bury College University Centre will equip students with an HNC, a Level 4 vocational qualification that focuses on building practical skills. HNCs are highly regarded by employers for their emphasis on industry specific knowledge and experience. A Level 4 qualification also gives individuals an edge in the employment market, particularly in the vocational industries. A GMCA report found that “Greater Manchester skills gaps are at their sharpest at Level 4”*, meaning that those with Level 4 qualifications are incredibly in-demand for jobs.

The lower course fees at Bury College University Centre than at most other universities, means that students gain a Level 4 qualification with only one year of study and only a small amount of student loans to pay back.
Former student Fouzia Sultana had this to say about her experience on the HNC Healthcare Practice:
“My experience so far is one of pride that I have been able to be a part of Bury College University Centre. It is a great place to study, and I would recommend it to anyone. The course has been taught in-class, the lecturers are the best by far and the staff ensure we are successful and gain as much information as possible. The staff and tutors are always prepared to go above and beyond when it comes to supporting students. Doing a Level 4 in HNC Healthcare Practice has set me up for an easy journey at University to study audiology. The mixture of knowledge you gain from this course is astounding, from learning about laws and ethics to learning about the body systems in more detail. It really does open a variety of career opportunities.”
