So Prime Minister Johnson comes to Bury and visits Gigg Lane to whitewash the centre circle.

He was Prime Minister when his government let Bury FC get expelled by the EFL despite our enormous community efforts including my own working with Labour and senior Conservative MPs, including the then Sport’s Minister.

As we’ve seen since with Chelsea, all that was required was the political will at Government level to save Bury but Johnson did nothing and now pretends to be part of its resurrection.

Johnson, the man, his party and the whole saga is a total disgrace and it happened on his watch. Now Bury’s last remaining Tory MP sponsors his lies and is absent on commenting from Johnson’s shameful behaviour on PartyGate and his repeated lying to Parliament. Don’t believe their whitewash. Believe in better.
