TRIBUTES have been paid to a woman who died at the age of 36.

Family and friends have left moving tributes to the woman, named as Charrissa Brown, as police continue their murder and rape investigation into the tragic death.

The 36-year-old woman died after being taken to hospital by ambulance at around 6.15pm on Wednesday.

Mum Sue Brown is asking flowers to be laid at Gorse Bank, where she was last seen.

She posted on social media: "RIP my beautiful daughter

"I am asking if all Charrissa Brown friends could go take flowers to the place she was last at, we are all going. I want the last place she was at to be lit up."

Tanay Brown added: "My beautiful Mum I don’t know what I’m going too do without you your were and still my world xxxxxxx"

Three men aged 32, 52, and 61, were arrested at an address on Gorse Bank Road and Rutland Drive in Bury on suspicion of murder and rape.

Speaking yesterday, Det Supt Kate Atton, from GMP's Bury CID, said: "I have no doubt that the community are shocked and are worried to hear the news about this incident.

"But I would like to reassure them that we have a dedicated team of detectives investigating and following up various lines of enquiry to establish the circumstances around this lady's death.

"High-visibility patrols and local officers will be in the area and available to speak to anyone concerned and we will release more information as soon as we are able to."

The incident has also been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct in line with normal procedure due to previous police contact.

DS Atton said: "We want to give the lady's family the answers they deserve as they are understandably devastated at the loss and our thoughts remain with them.

"We'd ask anyone with information to come forward.

"The team are following up enquiries and have been overnight since the report came into us but anyone who may have any information should contact us - even the smallest bit of information could prove vital.
