A housing landlord has announced the long-awaited list of winners of their summertime photography competition intended to highlight the best of Bury communities.
The lucky winner of Six Town Housing's Share Your Summer competition was revealed today and won a £50 online shopping voucher.
Leonard Quinn, Chair of Peachment Place Tenants and Residents Association won for his photo of Peachment Place enjoying some morning coffee.
On hearing he had won the competition, Leonard said: "I'm overjoyed to have won this competition.
"It has really boosted my ego for the day!
"We do our best at Peachment Place to involve as many tenants as possible to participate now that we've come out of lockdown after 18 months.
"We're all here for each other and hope to carry on the good work looking after each other."
Other entries included tenants spending time in their gardens, relaxing at Redbank Extra Care Scheme or children enjoying their summer breaks at The Rock in Bury.
One of the earliest entries was a tenant who submitted a 'Thank You NHS' sign set against a rising sun.
Six Town Housing is an arms-length housing organisation, founded in 2005 to work with Bury Council to provide almost 8,000 properties, including homes, garages, shops and other facilities.
The company announced its photography competition in July to encourage their tenants to share their best memories of the summer, during long stretches of lockdown.
All of the photos shared by tenants were compiled into a social media album on the Six Town Housing official Facebook page.
