SEVERAL local people have been before the courts recently due to their driving.
A MAN who had no insurance for the Seat Leon he was driving has been banned from the roads for 28 days. Conner Stewart, aged 23, of Fir Street, Bury, pleaded guilty to committing the offence on May 14 when he drove the Seat on Ringley Road West, Radcliffe. He was fined £500.
A WOMAN who drove without a licence or insurance has been fined by magistrates. Alison Johnson, aged 52, of Ampleforth Gardens, Radcliffe, was caught driving a Peugeot car on Turks Road, Radcliffe, on January 10. Johnson pleaded guilty to committing the offences and was fined £250.
A DRUG driver who had been using cocaine has been banned from the roads for 12 months. Sheikh Abbas, aged 50, of Inglewood Close, Bury, tested positive for the drug after he was caught driving a Suzuki Splash on Wilmslow Road, Trafford, on December 12 last year. He was fined £120.
MAGISTRATES have added six penalty points to a driver’s licence after he was caught using a Fiat Punto on Sawley Avenue, Whitefield on December 23 last year without insurance. Ryan Carter, aged 26, of Sawley Avenue, admitted committing the offence.
A MAN who had been using cannabis was caught driving without a licence. Drug driver Jordan Foulds, aged 23, of Bannerman Avenue, Bury, drove a Seat Ibiza on Sandgate Road, Bury, on January 23. He pleaded guilty to drug driving and having no licence or insurance. Foulds was banned from applying for a licence for 12 months and fined £750.
A DRUG driver who had no licence or insurance failed to stop for police. Joshua Shaw, aged 20, of Leander Close, Radcliffe, had used cannabis when he drove a Vauxhall Corsa on Leander Close on December 6 last year. He pleaded to committing the offence and also admitted having no licence or insurance, careless driving and failing to stop for police. Shaw was banned from applying for a driving licence for 14 months and fined £640.
