A SECTION of Manchester Road has been closed after a car collided with a lamppost.
Emergency services have been at the scene and the road was closed at around 2pm on Wednesday afternoon.
The ambulance service have confirmed that one patient was taken to hospital.
Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 1.15pm today police were called to Manchester Road, Bury, to a report of a car that collided with a lamppost."
The road is closed between Leyland Street and Hollins Brow, Transport for Greater Manchester have said.
