EVERY person living and working in Cumbria between the ages of 12 and 30 is being asked to get a PCR test this week for Covid, even if they do not have symptoms. This is because new Covid infections are rising fastest among this age group.

Cumbria county council said: "By getting as many people as possible tested, infectious people can be identified and asked to self-isolate to help stop the infection spreading.

"Parents of school-age children will be informed of testing arrangements by their child’s school.

"People not at school can attend any of Cumbria’s testing sites between 8 am and 8 pm.

"There's no need to book. Just turn up to one of the following test centres and you will be tested:

Barrow town hall LTS, Barrow town hall courtyard, Cornwallis street, Barrow, LA14 2LG

Kendal county hall LTS,

Kendal county hall car park, Busher walk, Kendal, LA9 4RQ
