DETAILS of the funeral service for former headteacher Mike Pinder have been confirmed.

Tributes to Mr Pinder, who was headteacher at Tottington Primary School for over 25 years, have flooded in since his death on Easter Saturday, aged 70.

The school has now confirmed that Mr Pinder's funeral will take place at 1.30pm on Wednesday, April 21 at Radcliffe Crematorium.

A statement from the school said: "As many of you will be aware, former headteacher at Tottington Primary School, Michael

Pinder, passed away on Easter Saturday.

"Many of our TPS families knew Mr Pinder, so we thought it appropriate to share details of his funeral.

"His funeral will take place at 1.30pm on Wednesday, Apri 21l at Radcliffe Crematorium.

"His wife, Sue, has been extremely touched by the huge number of cards she has received and the kind comments about Mike on social media.

"Sadly, current Covid-19 restrictions limit the service to invited guests only.

"A musical event is planned at a point in the future when the whole community can join together to celebrate his life.

"The funeral cortège will pass down Market Street and past Tottington Primary School at approximately 1.05 -1.15pm on Wednesday should people wish to pay their respects."
