AN appeal has been issued for tinned and dry goods by Tottington Methodist Church and Tottington Centre for a food bank.
Churchgoers are staging their third collection for Porch Boxes on Saturday, April 24, at the centre's car park from 10am to 11am.
Tinned meats, spaghetti, chilli, tuna hot dogs and beans, along with tinned fruit, biscuits, teabags, UHT semi-skimmed and full fat milk, and packets of noodles and rice are among the items being sought.
Before now two previous collections, over harvest-time and Christmas, for Porch Boxes have seen supporters generate a large number of donations for the cause.
And since the start of the pandemic the charity is estimated to have dished out 8,000 Covid packs to beneficiaries.
