PREPARATIONS are under way for Radcliffe's biggest event of the calendar year.
A date has been set for Radcliffe Carnival 2020 - Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7.
And the theme for this year will be flower power.
The carnival committee is looking for dance troupes or alternative entertainment to take part in this year's carnival parade.
The parade will leave Redbank Field at 2pm on June 6, returning at about 3.30pm.
Amanda Rhead has been appointed as the new Carnival chair, taking over from Andrew Clarkson, who has served the town in this capacity for seven years. He has now stepped into the role of vice chair.
A host of new officers have also been chosen for the 2019/20 season.
