Contemporary dance competition
The second Calling U Out – Northwest contemporary competition is on Sunday.
The event will run from 9-6pm, at the Castle Leisure Centre with tickets costing £16.50 for dancers and £15 for spectators.
There will be lots of social dancing, top judges, and prizes for all advanced categories and open battle winners.
Categories include teams, set solos, improvised solos, and duets.

Day out with Thomas
Join Thomas at Bury Bolton Street station for lots of fun activities.
Thomas will be on the East Lancs Railway on Saturday and Sunday and he really moves, setting off every 20 minutes. Trips on Thomas are included in the ticket price so you can take as many as you want.
Visitors can also meet the Fat Controller and friends, see performances by Rusty and Dusty, Sodor’s cheeky station sweepers, and have unlimited travel on steam and diesel trains
The event will begin with the Fat Controller's opening ceremony at 9:45am. Activities will finish at 4pm.
Tickets are £19.50 for adults, £12 for children, or £55 for a family ticket.
If the Shoe Fits
Head on down to Mill Gate shopping centre on Sunday for a chance to win shoes.
The free event will last from 10.30-4pm, with cash and other prizes up for grabs.
Simply try on a pair of shoes, and if they fit, they're officially yours!

See 200 years of Ramsbottom
Visit the Ramsbottom Civic Hall this weekend to see an exhibition from the Ramsbottom Heritage Society.
The group will be displaying over 90 paintings and pictures that were donated to them.
The hall will be open 12-4pm on Saturday, and 11-3pm on Sunday, with free entry and tea, coffee, and a bar available.

Strangers on a Train Set
LipService return to The Met with a brand new show; a murder mystery set on a model railway.
Irene Sparrow, inventor of the left-handed crochet hook, finds herself under suspicion of murder after a young man is found dead.
Performances will take place on Wednesday and Thursday, starting at 8pm. Tickets are £13 per person, and the show is not recommended for anyone under 10.
