A BURY FC fan has taken saving the future of her beloved Shakers into her own hands by chaining herself to the Gigg Lane stadium.
Joy Hart began waging her protest today in a bid to urge Bury FC owner, Steve Dale, to "do the honourable thing" and sell the club.
Speaking to the Bury Times she said: "Mr Steve Dale, you bought this club for £1, sell it please.
"Bury as a town and as a club will die on Friday if you do not."
Ms Hart is the daughter of Bury FC legend Les Hart who played and worked for the club for 44 years between 1936 and 1980.
Hart is memorialised in Gigg Lane's south stand which was renamed in his honour in 2010.
Bury FC fans have also ordered a coffin to be delivered to Gigg Lane, bearing the words "RIP Bury FC 1885-?", to symbolise the potential "death" of the club should no rescue deal be found.
