SIX hundred people were treated to a military musical extravaganza courtesy of Bury's Fusiliers.
The Fusiliers' Association Band and Corps of Drums took centre stage during a concert on Sunday at the Victoria Hall in Bolton. The show also featured performances by the Pipes and Drums of the Scots Guards Association. The compere was Norman Prince, a comedian and former singer with the Houghton Weavers.
The concert was organised by the president of Radcliffe Rotary Club, Tony Sprason, who is also a custodian at the Fusiliers' Museum in Bolton Road, Bury.
Tony said: "This concert was very special to me and proved to be a great night out for anyone who attends. Every time I hear the Fusiliers' Association Band and Corps of Drums, and the Scots Guards Association Band and Drums, they get better and better. It was an electric performance all round."
The proceeds from the concert, in the region of £3,000, will be donated to the Fusiliers Museum Appeal and Radcliffe Rotary Club's charities fund.
